Hey, I’m Emma.

I’m an actor, writer, and book lover from New York, making a home in LA. I recently graduated a year early (whew!) from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama and a minor in Creative Writing. I studied at the Atlantic Acting School, performing in the premiere of Conference Room B by Eboni Booth (Paris, Julia on HBO), She Kills Monsters (Vera), Mary Stuart (Mary Stuart), and Mamma Mia! (Tanya). Prior to NYU, I studied at Herbert Berghof Studios and at Manhattan School of Music in the Precollege Program for classical vocal performance.

My debut one-woman play, Single’s Night, premiered at Rotation Theater Company’s Comedy Playwright Festival to three sold out, laughing out loud shows this past May, continuing a year long collaboration with Rotation Theater in Hamlet (Barnardo/Player Queen), the west coast premiere of Lindsay Jane’s The Thought of Us (Andie), and their upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet (Tybalt).

As a writer, I’m primarily interested in the messy, complicated lives of young women. I love character driven comedy—such as the kind you can find in my one-woman comedy show Little Kid, which you can watch here. It’s a show about growing up, and all the problems that come with it. I write comedy with healthy doses of drama, and love finding levity in dark corners. My first solo written short film, THE GATES, finished filming this July–BTS coming soon :) Check out my other projects here!
